Batch Country House is a family business run by James and Anna Brown. The Brown family has lived at Batch since 1870, with four generations having lived there since. Batch is more than just a business to us, it is our family home. It is located in the heart of Somerset overlooking the Mendip Hills. It is situated mid way between Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-Super-Mare. Our aim is to ensure the finest levels of personal service.

We are licensed for civil ceremonies both indoors and outdoors.

There is also ample room inside the house if the British weather does its worst. We have enough space to conduct all of your photos indoors. There are many attractive fireplaces and features in the building, whilst our Ivory Suite is ideal for large group photographs indoors, if necessary.

Batch Country House has been catering for weddings in Somerset for over 25 years. The facilities at the hotel have been enhanced significantly during this time, mainly through listening to our customers. Our award winning gardens provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs, and our excellent food and attractive wedding rooms will give you a day you will always treasure.

Children have the space and freedom to play, but parents can still keep a watchful eye on them whilst relaxing with relations and friends, old and new. We believe that our combination of beautiful landscaped gardens, delicious food, stunning reception rooms and unrivalled levels of personal service offers all the ingredients for the perfect wedding.

Civil Ceremonies

A civil ceremony allows the entire wedding event to be held in one location without the need to move. They are very relaxed and informal, and normally last about half an hour. The room can be decorated to each couple’s individual taste and preferences.

We are licenced for civil ceremonies, including civil partnerships in our all our reception rooms. We are also licensed for outdoor ceremonies in our attractive gazebo. All your guests can be seated, and there is a wireless microphone system so that your guests will be able to hear the special vows you make to each other. We always have an inside room fully prepared for a ceremony in case there is a change in the weather.

Conference Venue

Batch County House is becoming increasingly popular as a conference venue due to our quiet location and easy access. The hotel is located just ten minutes from the M5 motorway and is easily accessible from Bristol, Weston, Bridgwater and Taunton.

Delegates can unwind in the comfortable lounges and can make use of the excellent restaurant for lunch or have a buffet with all-day coffee in the conference room.

We have ample free parking and offer excellent conference facilities to suit all requirements. Our Conference rooms all have direct telephone lines and fax facilities, as well as internet access.

We offer a day or 24 hour delegate rate and have eleven well equipped en-suite rooms for conference delegates.
