Weddings

The Mill House is situated in the ancient village of Swallowfield, near Reading. It has a magnificent landscaped gardens just beside the river Loddon in the Berkshire countryside.

The Garden Room, marquee and Cottage Suite are licensed for your wedding ceremony. The Marquee up to 120 guests, The Garden Room for up to 90 guests and the Cottage Suite for 30 guests. All rooms have beautiful views across the gardens with patio doors that are opened on warm days.

Available all year round is the marquee, It offers an elegant location for your wedding for up to 120 guests for a seated reception and 150 for your evening reception with exclusive use of the house, marquee and grounds. The marquee has bifold doors leading onto the decking area and gardens and has a very good heating system and double glazing for the winter and air conditioning for the Summer making it the perfect venue all year through. If you are looking for something more intimate then the house offers different reception rooms with character from a typical Georgian era.

The Mill House gardens are a beautiful backdrop for weddings all year through. The Off Peak Wedding packages give special rates for your exclusive wedding, with seasonal menus available. In December the house and marquee are decorated for Christmas with an abundance of Christmas trees, garlands and lights.

The Mill House’s conference rooms all offer a relaxed environment, which create an attentive audience and a productive meeting. We offer ample car parking onsite.

The Duke Suite, The Cottage Suite, The Garden Room, and a stunning marquee in the hotel grounds, with these available suites, you are assured to have a flexible space for your meeting. Conference rooms are on the ground floor with natural daylight with free Fibre internet access, with your own doors onto the gardens giving a quiet relaxed environment for your delegates.

The hotel has beautiful flat lawns, spacious marquee which is available for your team building & activity days. The marquee offers a perfect space for a product launch or networking event, and can be fully themed for your summer party.
