Woodlands Castle is a privately owned wedding venue in Taunton, also offering function and meeting rooms that can be hired individually or exclusively depending on the event. We are situated in 12 acres of private grounds surrounded by woodland making the house a secluded haven; yet we are just minutes from Taunton town centre and sit on junction 25 of the M5, providing a central meeting point between Exeter and Bristol.

We can cater for all kinds of events from conferences and receptions to weddings, BBQ’s and parties.

We have a friendly and flexible approach and with our own catering team we can help create your event to match your actual requirements.

Woodlands Castle is an eco-friendly green venue, we have a stringent recycling policy, energy saving lightbulbs, we try to be as paperless as possible in our booking procedures and we source everything we use from local providers cutting down on carbon emissions.

Weddings & Receptions

For private functions from Weddings & Receptions to Birthday Parties the house is exclusively yours for the duration. We try to be as flexible as possible so whether you want tea and cakes on the lawn or a live band in the Orchard Suite, the house and grounds are available for you and your guests to use however you wish. It's your day so we want to create an event that is as individual as you are.

Woodlands castle is licensed for civil ceremonies and can offer exclusive hire from £1204, so you can build you own package and control your own budgets or we can offer set packages including everything from welcome drink and wine to table centres and 3 course-meal. For larger numbers we have our fantastic garden pavilion which can hold up to 200 for a seated meal. Ever thought of having a Christmas wedding? We have a great catering team that pride themselves on providing excellent, reasonably priced, locally sourced, food to suit your tastes. With over thirty set menu's to choose from there is something to suit everyone, or create your own menu and we'll price it for you.

Conference and Meetings

Book your meeting in July or August and receive an upgrade to our Silver package for the price of our bronze.

Conveniently located off the M5 at junction 25 we are both accessible yet tranquil.

There are six versatile meeting rooms in the main house the largest holding 55 in theatre style, and our exhibition suite which can hold 150 in cabaret style or 300 in theatre style. With 12 acres of private grounds for outdoor training. We pride ourselves on flexibility and accommodate our clients needs wherever possible. We have no minimum numbers for bookings and will always place you in a room to fit your requirements.
