We can cater for up to 140 guests and guarantee a very personal service. If you are looking for a country wedding venue in Somerset that is stylish, contemporary and unique, the Longhouse in Bruton is the wedding venue for you. With no corkage fee, three different locations licensed for civil ceremonies and a beautiful romantic location in the heart of rural Somerset overlooking the tree tops, the Longhouse is the place to make your special day happen.

Whether you are looking for a small, alternative, or quirky wedding venue to hold your wedding ceremony and reception with friends and family the Longhouse can cater for you. Our beautiful oak Gazebo can seat up to 140 guests, our vaulted Wine Cellar which seats 55 and light Longhouse which seats 140 are all licensed for wedding ceremonies and provide a romantic and unique setting no matter what your vision may be for your big day. We will work with you to create your perfect wedding day.

We understand that planning is important so we will help you every step of the way with a dedicated wedding coordinator that will manage your big day so that you have everything just the way you want it.
Your Guests
At The Longhouse we have ample parking for all your guests. On arrival your guests will be shown through to the ceremony venue to await your arrival.
The Wedding Ceremony
We are licensed to have wedding ceremonies in three locations, the Oak Gazebo, the vaulted Wine Cellar and The Longhouse. The wine cellar is situated under the adjoining Victorian farmhouse and seats up to 55 guests and is perfect for a beautiful and intimate ceremony.
For larger indoor ceremonies we use the stunning Longhouse which seats up to 140 guests and has views out over the tree tops across the Brue Valley.
For outdoor ceremonies our beautiful oak Gazebo is the perfect spot, nestled below our vineyard with views down to the river Brue.This lovely outdoor location seats up to 140 guests.
Photographs & Drinks
We understand how important it is to capture your perfect day so your photographer will be with you every step of the way. The Longhouse is set in gorgeous surroundings with 25 acres of beautiful Idyllic scenery and numerous special spots for photos.
