Cockshutt Millennium Hall as the name suggests was built to celebrate the new Millennium. In fact it was finished in 1997 partly funded by the Millennium Commission. One of the largest and most up to date halls in North Shropshire it boasts some excellent facilities for holding all types of events. It has a large, well designed main hall including a stage and licensed bar. Acoustic sound-proofing was added to improve dramatically the quality of both live and discos music. Adjacent to the main hall is a large comfortable fully carpeted lounge with upholstered seating: It also has its own bar and accessible from the main hall through adjoining double doors extending both space and versatility.There is also a well stocked and equipped kitchen available too. We do have another room on the opposite side of the Hall for hire for a variety of different uses. The Hall is set back from the road with good car parking facilities and a modern well equipped play park; often used when the hall is booked for family events. We also have a large grassed area, which is also available for hire; popular with caravan clubs, folk clubs etc. We even have our own football pitch with changing room facilities.
