Cockshutt Millennium Hall as the name suggests was built to celebrate the new Millennium. In fact it was finished in 1997 partly funded by the Millennium Commission. One of the largest and most up to date halls in North Shropshire it boasts some excellent facilities for holding all types of events. It has a large, well designed main hall including a stage and licensed bar. Acoustic sound-proofing was added to improve dramatically the quality of both live and discos music. Adjacent to the main hall is a large comfortable fully carpeted lounge with upholstered seating: It also has its own bar and accessible from the main hall through adjoining double doors extending both space and versatility.There is also a well stocked and equipped kitchen available too. We do have another room on the opposite side of the Hall for hire for a variety of different uses. The Hall is set back from the road with good car parking facilities and a modern well equipped play park; often used when the hall is booked for family events. We also have a large grassed area, which is also available for hire; popular with caravan clubs, folk clubs etc. We even have our own football pitch with changing room facilities. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding, birthday party or whatever the occasion may be then the Millennium Hall is the ideal place for you.

Lounge

Large, well lit comfortable and fully carpeted lounge with 40 upholstered chairs and rectangular tables. There is an access hatch into the kitchen so refreshments can be served. It has a manned, fully stocked bar so the room can be hired independently of the main hall. It has direct access through to the main corridor and outside.

The main hall

The main hall is the largest room in the Millennium hall. It has a stage, theatre lighting and sound system. The ceiling features acoustic tiling to improve sound quality within the room. The flooring is polished wood and suitable for all types of dancing etc.It has direct access to the kitchen through a serving hatch and separate door.The room has it's own fully stocked, manned bar. There are a combination of round and rectangular folding tables to design any style of dining arrangement. A large stock of functional and upholstered chairs are available.

Multi-activity room

The third room within the hall is a functional room with both carpeting and easy clean floor services. Historically this room was used as a playgroup and mothers & toddlers group. It would be perfectly adequate for indoor table sports, keep fit classes, meetings etc. It has it's own small kitchen area with sink and cupboard / worktop area. It has a direct access outside and is in close proximity of the toilets.
