Opened as a village hall in 1925 after conversion from a malthouse that was in use by the local estate in the 17th century. It features original central oak pillars in the hall and a wooden sprung floor excellent for dance groups. At the side of the main hall is a meeting or buffet room that is separated by a concertina door so the two halls can be used together if required. There is a fitted kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle and urn. Cloakroom facilities include disabled access, disabled toilet and baby changing facilities.
At the rear of the building is the Atcham Malthouse Bowling Club and a shared car park that will take about 25 cars. Our hall has no outside space so is not suitable for marquees or hog roasts (unless pre-cooked)..
We book dance groups, meetings, parties and functions. Our licence allows for up to 100 people or 80 if seated but we ask that functions finish around 10.00 p.m to allow time for clearing down and guests to depart by the 11.00 finish required by our licence because we are a semi-detached property.
