In 1911, Mrs Campbell, of Ashford Court, financed the building of the Village Hall, which was initially known as The Parish Room. The Hall was extended in the 1960s to provide toilets and a kitchen. In 1970, Dr Zair and Mr Claud Saxby donated the use of land beside the Hall to provide a sports field and playground for the village. In 2008 the 1960s extension was demolished and a new service extension built to provide an up to date commercial kitchen, improved toilets and storage. The funding for this project came from Shropshire Council and £30,000 was raised by the Village of Ashford Carbonell.

The Hall is the ‘community hub’ of the village, a weekly ‘Pub Night’ on Friday evenings 7.30pm and fortnightly ‘Afternoon Teas’ on a Thursday 2.30 – 4.00pm have proved to be very popular. The annual village barbeque is held in August with a Car Boot Sale in September. Throughout the year the Village Hall committee arrange Quiz Nights, Musical and Cultural evenings and Christmas and New Years Eve gatherings.
