The Churchill Room is our largest stand-alone meeting room and as such can comfortably host 150 people in a conference style layout. Due to the room's size and affordability it is also regularly hired for fairs, table-top sales and youth group meetings while still being popular amongst those looking for a venue for a coffee morning or hobby club.
A range of additional items can be included in your hire for a small additional charge. A kitchen which is available for hire is attached to the room.
We have recently begun hosting children's birthday parties in this meeting room; however these must take place outside of Library opening hours and are subject to a minimum 5 hour hire block on either Saturday afternoon after 5pm or anytime on Sunday. Unfortunately hirers cannot bring or prepare hot dinners/meals in the meeting rooms, only light snacks or simple finger foods, such as sandwiches are permitted.
