At the time of the Hall’s construction, one of the prospective tenants was the Stansted Badminton Club so the main hall was built sufficiently large with a high ceiling to accommodate a badminton court. The Club remained a loyal tenant and friend for 35 years until it had to close in 2005.
Extensively refurbished and re-roofed and extended in 2003/04 with funding from private donations and substantial financial support from the Brett Environmental Trust [check name], the Hall comprises:
