Claydon’s incredible Courtyard was once the bustling heart of the Claydon Estate. It housed workshops, stables, coach houses, estate stores, the laundry, brew house and staff accommodation. It is now a hub for events, arts and crafts and is home to an eclectic range of shops and businesses, as well as the Phoenix Tea Rooms.

Also within the Courtyard is The Stables, our exclusive use events room, is available to hire for events, meetings, conferences, wedding receptions, private parties and much more. We provide all the catering lead by our in house chef and are open to being approached for all manner of events.

The Gardens and Park at Claydon are in regular use for events and weddings and have featured on television and in films, most recently Claydon appeared as William Boldwood’s home in the 2015 adaptation of ‘Far From the Madding Crowd’. We would also be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to host an event or make a film at Claydon.
