The Gloucester and York Meeting Rooms, located on the first floor of the Redbridge Central Library in Ilford, are perfect spaces for groups of all sizes to host an affordable rendezvous in a central and extremely accessible location.

Our current regular clients include local and national businesses, tuition services, community/charity groups, local clubs, fitness classes, church groups and many others. The larger Gloucester Room can comfortably host 100 people in a conference style layout. It is also generally the preference for our more active hirer's, such as dance or fitness classes.

The York Room, about half the size of the Gloucester Room, is generally hired for smaller meetings, coffee mornings and clubs. As well as being quite suitable for yoga classes and even 1-1 consultations or interviews. If a larger space is required both rooms can be hired (subject to availability) and a folding dividing wall can be taken down between the two rooms allowing for 150 people in a conference style layout.

A range of additional items can be included in your hire for a small additional charge. With the York Room, a small kitchen can be hired, while a hot water urn and trolley service can be provided in the Gloucester Room.

We have recently begun hosting children's birthday parties in the meeting rooms, however these must take place outside of Library opening hours and are subject to a minimum 5 hour hire block on either Saturday afternoon or anytime on Sunday. Unfortunately hirers cannot bring or prepare hot dinners/meals in the meeting rooms, only light snacks or simple finger foods, such as sandwiches are permitted.
