Set in the beautiful North Hertfordshire countryside, Milling Barn at Bluntswood Hall is an idyllic and exclusive wedding venue on a family run farm. Bespoke wedding ceremonies, services and wedding receptions are our speciality which we have been providing for over 10 years. In late 2013 we undertook an extensive refurbishment programme for the 2014 wedding season, and this is now continuing over the winter for the 2015 season.

Our event planners will guide you through the process of organising your event to the highest quality, whether it be a wedding reception, conference and meeting, Christmas party, celebration, or outside function, for a small number or few hundred guests. We can advise you in detail how we will organise your day, making sure that all of your wishes and expectations are met.

Conferences & Events

The conference and event facilities at Milling Barn are based around our two beautiful 17th Century oak barns, and the adjoining Dairy Barn which is a converted milking parlour.

Our broad ranging conference and event facilities can utilise our three barns, the 30 acre farm land, and the adjoining woodland. We can provide facilities for conferences, meetings, presentations, board meetings, product launches, team building activies, parties, and much more.

Milling Barn offers a venue that is both quiet and peaceful, set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside and is easily accessible from the A10 and A1 main roads, close to the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex borders. By car Milling Barn is approximately 1 hour from London, 40 minutes from Cambridge and Luton, 20 minutes from Hertford and Stevenage.

Milling Barn Weddings

Weddings are our speciality and we have providing bespoke wedding services and wedding receptions for over 15 years. We have grown year on year, whilst retaining our enthusiasm for each occasion, as every wedding and every couple's requirements are different.

The Milling Barn is a beautiful 17th Century oak barn, and the adjoining Dairy Barn is a converted milking parlour, both of which are licenced to hold civil weddings and partnerships. Alternatively, couples can get married in their local Church and come to Milling Barn for their wedding reception. The Milling Barn and the Dairy Barn both have licensed bars, can seat up to 180 and 120 respectively, but can equally be tailored to suit much smaller parties, ultimately offering a truly flexible wedding venue solution. The Oak Room is an ideal venue for smaller parties. We have 2 outdoor wedding venues which are licenced for civil weddings and partnerships.

In late 2013 we undertook a comprehensive renovation and expansion programme, both internally and externally, to accommodate the increased demand from clients to hold weddings and parties at Milling Barn wedding venue, and this is now continuing over the winter for the 2015 season.

Milling Barn is exclusively yours as we do not take multiple wedding bookings for the same day, which gives you the freedom to be totally relaxed throughout your special day.
