The Centre was established in 2001 by Richard and Katarina Diss. The aim was to provide a location where like-minded people could gather to practice complementary medicine in a spacious, light and agreeable setting with views over open countryside. On this 14 acre site there is a rich wealth of possibility for connections to be made with nature.
The emphasis is very much on harmonising and balancing the energies of both those who visit the centre and the farm on which the centre is situated. To this end there has been a lot of work carried out over the years including earth acupuncture, crystals and feng shui quite apart from extensive landscaping and tree planting. The result is delightful.
The Vision
The aim of those of us at the centre is to create a space where spiritual values can be put into practice and to work in harmony with nature to co create a more positive and sustainable future.
The facilities for hire and the land are all focused on events aimed at nourishment for the spiritual aspects of life.

Weddings at Clophill

The Clophill Centre near Bedford offers a wonderful venue for your special day.

Formerly a fruit farm, it is a beautiful setting for both your ceremony and reception in 14 peaceful and lush acres, full of simple and rustic charm. Over many years, Richard and Katarina Diss have cultivated a loving and respectful relationship with this land and they invite you to come and share in its spirit for your loving union.

You can choose from a range of settings for the ceremony itself: a simple bower where you may commit yourselves to each other; a labrynth where you might take longer to reflect on the paths that your lives have taken, meet in the centre and walk forward together into your shared future; open fields where your families and friends can mingle and create new connections in which your life together will be celebrated and supported.
People of all faiths and none are welcome here. You may be planning a wedding, a civil partnership, a hand-fasting, a re-commitment, even a special anniversary celebration. Although any legal registration will need to be done at a Registry Office, The Clophill Centre offers you the opportunity to create your own, unique ceremony and celebration which expresses who you are as individuals and as a couple, as simple or as elaborate as you like.

With flowers, food and drink all of which can be sourced locally, your celebration will be entirely in keeping with the place itself. There are inside spaces if the weather is unkind, we have an elegant wood hall with a balcony, or a marquee can be hired for the day.
