Luton Culture has a number of venue spaces available for hire for meetings and conferences. From small rooms for 2 - 10 people to our largest space accommodating 238 people. Presentation equipment and refreshments can be supplied at all sites.

Weddings

Congratulations on your engagement. So now it’s time to start planning your big day.

At Stockwood Discovery Centre we pride ourselves in being the unique choice, perfect for those looking for an intimate, quirky, and family friendly wedding venue. Our Idyllic gardens are a paradise for garden enthusiasts and a wondrous backdrop for the all important magical memories you want to capture in your photographs. Or for a more unusual image of your day we recommend taking your first kiss on our replica Roman chariot!

Stockwood Discovery Centre is fully licenced for civil weddings and partnerships, accommodating up to 80 ceremony guests. A range of reception packages are available to suit your needs including drinks reception or wedding breakfast. You can choose to dine in the Discovery Hall with the stunning carriages or party in The Garden Cafe Restaurant: a modern sleek space looking out over the pond and patio. A maximum of 120 reception guests can be accommodated in an informal and relaxed atmosphere with easy access to enjoy drinks on the patio and watch the children in the fabulous play area. Marquees of various sizes can also be situated in the grounds. A choice of menu options are also available; from buffets and barbecues to sit down meals. The perfect setting for your most important day.

There is ample FREE parking available plus you can keep the kids entertained during daylight hours with our fabulous play area, or hire our bouncy castle.



Receptions can also be arranged at The Hat Factory. Conveniently located in Luton town centre, receptions can be accommodated in either the Basement Lounge or Gateway Gallery. Both spaces can be dressed and themed to suit your personal requirements, with capacity for between 50 and 150 guests.

The Basement Lounge with its arched ceilings is a unique venue in Luton with a comfortable atmosphere and dimmable lighting. The space comes with bottle bar and a stage area big enough to accommodate a small band or DJ. The Gateway Gallery is a blank canvas ready for you to create your dream venue. The space can be arranged in a formal banqueting style for up to 100 guests or go fun and funky with a stage and dance floor for aorund 150 guests.

Outdoor Venues'

Stage your event into the heart of Luton’s lively town centre in attractive outdoor venues, Market Hill & St George’s Square. The two sites are located one at either end of bustling George Street, Luton’s pedestrianised high street, 10 - 20 minutes from junctions 10 and 11 of the M1.This location consists of a large open space, edged by shallow seating/steps on two sides. An attractive tree-lined town centre location , it is ideal for festivals, concerts and larger promotions, providing c.1830 m2 of space, which includes a granite paving and a grass lawn (c.700 m2) as well as our attractive water feature.


The larger size and open space of St George’s Square make it an excellent venue for open-air concerts, festivals and arts events and creative promotional activities.
