The Guildhall of Newport is one of the earliest to be established in England and is mentioned in a document dated 1252. It is therefore one of the most prestigious and historic listed buildings in the town and where better to hold your civil ceremony. It has its own car park exclusively available for your use on your special day.

The Guildhall welcomes ceremonies both large and small, from the discreet ceremony for two, to a grand affair for up to fifty complete with horse and carriage, or perhaps a medieval band playing in the courtyard. This is indeed a most appropriate setting for any wedding.

Meeting Rooms

The Guildhall has 2 rooms available for hire. Both are upstairs and there is a stair lift in addition to a wide staircase. The building is Listed which imposes some limitations on its use.


The Chamber - Can host up to 20 delegates, depending on layout.


Ante Room - Suitable for up to 12 delegates.
