The Guildhall of Newport is one of the earliest to be established in England and is mentioned in a document dated 1252. It is therefore one of the most prestigious and historic listed buildings in the town and where better to hold your civil ceremony. It has its own car park exclusively available for your use on your special day.
Wedding Hall PhotoThe Guildhall welcomes ceremonies both large and small, from the discreet ceremony for two, to a grand affair for up to fifty complete with horse and carriage, or perhaps a medieval band playing in the courtyard. This is indeed a most appropriate setting for any wedding.
Weeding roomWe welcome any flower arrangements you wish to bring and are happy for environmentally degradable confetti to be thrown on the paved courtyard. If you require music during the ceremony, this can be arranged (subject to the registrars approval. The Ante-Chamber can also be hired for small parties (maximum 35 people), for drinks, toasts and refreshments.
At the rear there is a small herb garden which makes an excellent backdrop for photographs of your Special Day.
