The town council areas of responsibility are:

Management of Ware Priory, including Fletcher's Lea and its grounds, playpen and open air swimming pool
Management of the Cemetry
Provision of allotments
Maintenance of the War Memorial, Church Clock and Churchyards at St Mary's Church
Provision of litter bins and public seats
Organising and financing of Ware Festival and Rock in the Priory
Grants to local organisations

The Priory is licensed to hold weddings, civil partnerships and naming ceremonies and has a hall and several function rooms / suites which are available for hire for meetings, conferences and parties etc.
