Hadley Park House description

Hotel / Conference Centre

Medium (1-150)

It’s hard to identify exactly when Hadley Park House was built. The very first edition of The Shrewsbury Chronicle (published 23 November 1772) contained an announcement about the sale of Hadley Park Farm due to take place early 1773. Sadly, details of the actual sale have not survived but it is thought that this may have been the trigger for the new owner to build Hadley Park House on the estate.

The hotel has had many owners and gatekeepers in it’s time including landowners and, unsurprisingly due to its location both ironmasters and engineers. The Mulliner family owned Hadley Park House and estate for nearly 40 years, from 1903 to 1941 when it was then sold to Joseph Sankey & Son Ltd. Joseph Sankey & Son became part of the GKN group, with the Directors of GKN Sankey (as it was then known) staying at the house as it was a mere few hundred yards from their offices.

Since then a Japanese businessman became so enamoured with the property that he bought it to refuge Japanese visitors!

The hotel was purchased by its current owners Mark Lewis and Geraldine Lewis in 2003, who over the years, have lovingly restored and invested in the property. The hotel is still full of character retaining many original features of the 18th Century Grade 2 Georgian house; from the wide wooden staircase, large sash windows and oak panelled lounge.

Weddings

Hadley Park House Hotel, Wedding Venue Telford, remains a favourite venue for couples looking to celebrate weddings, Civil Ceremonies, Civil Partnerships, Receptions and Naming Day Ceremonies.

Meetings

t’s all well and good trying to plan, learn, train or strategise at the office, but with constant interruptions thanks to the telephone or from a barrage of questions from employees, every now and again it’s preferable just to get away; after all, sometimes you just need to sit back and do some serious thinking…

Hadley Park House Hotel, conference venue Telford, provides a venue with excellent facilities to instigate inspirational and creative thoughts or motivational training to suit all types of meetings from small informal discussions to large corporate events in Shropshire.
