Steeple View DofE Open Centre is based in Essex and provides a place for young people to carry out the Duke of Edinburgh’s award at Bronze, Silver and Gold level. The DofE is a voluntary, non competitive programme of activities and accreditation for young people.
At Steeple View DofE Essex, we offer a place for all young people to be able to access the award outside of school. Young people can sign up from 13 years 7 months and have up until their 25th Birthday to complete all or some of the levels. The award is made up of four sections (5 at Gold Level) which are Volunteering, Skill, Physical and the Expedition section. Gold also has a Residential section.
Steeple View DofE Essex runs on a Friday evening 8pm-10pm from the Steeple View Memorial Hall, Laindon, Essex. We have an enrolment evening once a month where young people and parents can come and find out about the award at Steeple View.
