Sywell Village Hall is a beautiful Grade 11 listed building located in the heart of the old village adjacent to the church. The building was established in 1864 as the original Sywell village school. After the school had relocated, and following a refurbishment programme, the building became used by the community as a village hall in the 1980s. It has been used as a village hall now for over 25 years and has served the local community very well.

Over the years the hall, which is located in the centre of the village next to the church, has seen much activity and has provided a venue for many different classes and social functions. These include local further education such as art classes, keep fit classes, a meeting place for local groups, a fund-raising environment hosting tabletop sales and social evenings and a polling station. In addition to the above the hall has provided a great venue for birthday parties (young and old), wedding celebrations, christenings and funerals.

The village hall can accommodate up to 60 people seated at tables or 100 people standing. The hall contains a newly refurbished kitchen which has received a 4 Star Food & Hygiene award from Wellingborough Borough Council’s health and safety inspector. There is ample off-road parking outside the village hall for up to 15 cars. The hall has access for the disabled and good toilets for the disabled. It also contains a hearing loop system.
