Derwent Brass is an entertaining musical ensemble, equally at home in all venues from private functions to large concert halls. The band regularly perform to capacity audiences in Derby Assembly Rooms and Cathedral and have represented the East Midlands further afield in the UK and abroad.

The band performs in conventional style with classical and traditional material, or can tailor a concert with items such as big screen blockbuster movie themes, and will transform into a swing 'big-band' at the drop of a hat!

Regularly, and sometimes at the specific request of organisers, a concert will typically include traditional, big band and film themes in a choreographed stage presentation performance.

Audiences have been delighted with the band's contribution to a 'special' event, often using just a smaller ensemble for such as birthday celebrations, weddings and the like, and the full band for fund raising concerts, Last Night of the Proms and other large events.

Derwent Brass have brought the brass band into the 21st century with wide ranging repertoire, slick presentation, talented soloists and featured performers.
