The Maynard enjoys a superb location, close to Bakewell and Buxton, and hotel guests can stroll through Padley Gorge just minutes walk from the hotel and take in the stunning scenery.
The hotel has been decorated in a contemporary style, whilst incorporating its original features, to ensure the history of the building is not lost. A large range of local art and photographs of the local area is displayed around the hotel for guests to enjoy during their visit.
We have both a bar, lounge and restaurant and welcome both non-residents and residents to dine or hold their functions with us.

Recently renovated this boutique hotel provides an elegant and charming atmosphere, enabling you to feel relaxed and comfortable so you can focus on enjoying your special day with friends and family. Ten ensuite bedrooms are available including an exquisite bridal suite, which will ensure the bridal party can extend the celebrations late into the evening.
We have both bespoke and inclusive packages to suit all wedding styles, and having only one wedding a day, ensures our whole team are dedicated to you and your guests.
Our experienced events coordinator and experienced team of staff will also be on hand to help and advise you every step of the way.

Weddings

The Windsor Suite is on the first floor and boasts stunning views over the Derbyshire countryside. The room is licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships and can hold upto 50 people. The room is also available for wedding breakfasts of up to 36 people.
The restaurant which leads out onto the gardens and overlooks the valley, provides a intimate feel with breathtaking views across the gardens and valley. The use of the lounge and terrace areas, are lovely areas to sit, relax and enjoy your drinks reception. The restaurant has disabled access and is within easy reach of the bar.

The smaller function suite is The Windsor Suite, also located on the first floor with panoramic views of the Hope Valley and wonderful natural daylight. This room can accommodate up to 50 guests theatre style, or 20 delegates in a boardroom layout. A soft seating area is also available for delegates to use in The Windsor Suite, making it perfect for afternoon refreshments.

A grand room with high ceilings, oak panelled walls and golden chandeliers, it’s a romantic room for any wedding. The Ballroom Weddings at The Maynard, Peak Districtis licensed for civil ceremonies of up to 120. It allows a variety of layouts for your wedding breakfast, depending how formal or informal you want your day and where possible we will always try and accommodate these.
The Ballroom can hold up to 120 for a sit down wedding breakfast and has your own private bar and gardens overlooking the Derbyshire valley, so you and your guests can relax and enjoy the celebrations.
Evening Reception’s: The Ballroom

For those couples not wanting the formality of the wedding breakfast and just looking for an informal buffet and a party, or for those who just wish to carry on with the celebrations into the late hours, our evening receptions suit any style. They are also a great option for couples who have married abroad and wish to celebrate with the family and friends who couldn’t be there.
The Ballroom can hold up to 250 for an evening reception, with the buffet being served just outside to allow plenty of space for dancing on our sprung dance floor. Our resident DJ is always available, and an extended license can be acquired to extend your celebrations to 1am.
For those couples just wanting a ceremony and evening reception why not look at our Sunday Wedding package which is more relaxed and informal and allows you the flexibility of having a buffet OR wedding breakfast. Ask our wedding coordinator for more details
