Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force description
Commercial Venue
Medium (1-150)
The Army Cadet Force is a National Voluntary Youth Organisation sponsored by the Ministry of Defence (Army), but not part of the armed services, which provides challenging Military, Adventurous and Community Activities.
The overall aim is to inspire Young People to achieve success in life with a spirit of service to the Queen, their country and their local community and to develop in them the qualities required of a good Citizen.
We achieve this aim by: Providing progressive Cadet Training often of a challenging and exciting nature, to foster confidence, self reliance, initiative, loyalty and a sense of service to other people. Encouraging the development of personal powers of practical leadership and the ability to work successfully as a member of a Team. Stimulating an interest in the Army, its achievements, skills and values. Advising and preparing those considering a career in the Services or Reserve Forces.
Cultural provision: We have members of different faiths and cater for their needs
Special diets: We cater for the majority of dietary needs
Other specialist provision: We have disabled facilities at our County Headquarters but not all Detachments have these facilities. We would discuss a potential Cadet or Instructors disability with them. Based on the discussion we would assess their safety and work with their abilities to ensure they can partake in as many activities as possible.
