The original timber hall was built in the 1950`s and has undergone several upgrades over the years but has reached the end of its life . Planning permission has now been granted to re-build in the near future. It is intended that the new hall will provide the village and the wider community with a modern venue for a wide range of activities.
The hall is used on a regular basis by the primary school next door for P.E. , school assemblies and school plays.
Attached to the hall is the Arley Sports and Social Club which has a licensed bar and two match grade snooker tables. The club is open to members on Friday evenings from 8.00 pm and can be hired for social occasions. The club has changing facilities and an adjacent playing field which is used by local football and cricket teams.
The hall hosts wedding receptions, adult and childrens parties and is particularly popular with bands as an inexpensive practice venue due to the lack of nearby houses.It is also used by the Arley Players for productions such as pantomimes
Parking is available outside the hall with overflow parking on the opposite side of the road.
