Orpington Village Hall comprises two large halls, a conference room and a preparation kitchen. These facilities can be hired in whatever configuration makes the most sense for you and your event. The capacity of each room will depend on how they are laid out, however, the total standing capacity if both halls were hired would be 300 people.

Having been redeveloped and refurbished in 2010 and, since then, maintained to a high standard, the venue is an impressive facility for the local community. We have just reopened and now showcase two BRAND NEW halls with brand new Oak flooring. It is available for hire for weddings, wakes, birthdays and other special occasions, as well as for activities held on a more regular basis.

The venue is conveniently located at the entrance to Orpington High Street. The railway station is an 8 minute walk away, with a frequent service into central London and out to Sevenoaks, and there is a bus stop right outside the building. Additionally, there are several public car parks within a few minutes walk of the venue.

The halls are wheelchair and buggy accessible and include washroom facilities for all.

The Alfred Brown Hall is the larger of the two halls. It has a brand new sprung Oak wooden floor, mirrors along one wall (that can be covered with curtains) and serving hatch access to the kitchen.

It is a flexible space that can be used for a variety of events; it is perfect for large wedding parties, corporate events, exhibitions, theatrical productions and conferences.

The Aubrey Mullock Hall is the smaller of the two halls. It has a brand new sprung oak floor, direct hatch access to the kitchen and mirrors along one wall (these can be covered with curtains, if required).

The flexible space is regularly used for a variety of events. It is big enough to accommodate soft play kits and bouncy castles, as such, it is particularly popular for children's birthday parties.
