Ferry Project is a charity within Luminus Group that aims to help homeless single adults (aged 18 upwards), in the Fenland area, by providing both emergency accommodation and longer-term help. It was founded in 1998 by members of Wisbech Churches Together and joined Luminus Group in March 2006.
Our aim is to help people move on to their own independent living with a home of their own and a job.
People come into Ferry Project via Octavia View our beautiful community hub in the centre of Wisbech. People can stay in the hostel in Octavia View for up to 6 months before moving on to a shared flat or bedsit. In Octavia View residents receive support 24 hours a day.
Our community hub consists of
Octavia's Shop providing its customers with a stylish and unique shopping experience. Open from Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.
Octavia's Cafe located in Octavia View's Lawrence room. Come and enjoy a slice of homemade cake and the best coffee in town surrounded by georgian original features.
Octavia's Art Gallery gives the opportunity for local artists to exhibit their art free of charge. The Gallery is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm. If you are a local artist and are interested in holding an exhibition at Octavia View please contact us!
We also have a variety of meeting rooms available to individuals and organisations. Please contact us for our current room hire rates.
