UHCT is a Community Centre operating in the grounds of the Eden Grove Methodist Church on Eden Grove in Horfield. We were established in 1999 and have worked to improve our local community since then. Our efforts are funded in part by hall hire, and we have a number of rooms and halls available as well as equipment and services. Our Hall hire rates are very competitive.
We can offer our Main Hall, suitable for up to 150 people and measuring around 10 Metres by 14. This hall has a wooden floor and comes with tables and chairs as required.
The Church itself is also available for hire, offering similar sized accommodation to the main hall, with an additional small kitchen.
Our Community Room measures around 9 metres squared, offering space for up to around 70 people, and a comfortable classroom environment for larger groups up to around 45. This hall is equipped with a hearing loop, PA system and HD projector with a 105 inch screen if required that can be used wire free.
The larger halls are available for £20 per hour.
We have a number of smaller meeting rooms as well, including our Board Room and New Room, suitable for around 14 - 40 people.
All rooms and halls should have sufficient tables and chairs.
We have a large private car park, which has been recently resurfaced and the buildings all have ramps where required for disabled access.
There is also a lovely outside garden space, fully enclosed, that is for the use of guests as required, so you can have a bouncy castle or similar entertainment there as well.
We can offer projectors and screens, flip charts and paper, laptops, sound systems and assistance to get any of this equipment working as required for you.
Our on site community cafe, Daisy's, can offer a tasty meal as well as refreshments packages or buffet lunches. They also bake some lovely homemade cakes, and can do so to order in required.
In addition to these services we have a number of groups we run and support here, including a computer group and a computer animation group, a creative writing group and a craft and chat group, all free to attend for the benefit of the community. We have art classes, gentle exercise and chair aerobics, Tai Chi, Yoga, martial arts with Hapkido, a garden club, Bristol Scrabble Club, Movie club, Pilates with Fusion fitness as well and also run free community events several times a year. We operate a Bristol Credit Union outreach branch here where you can get information and apply for membership to open an account or loan with an ethical establishment.
In addition to all this we do our best to help our local community; if you have issues you need help with, we may be able to help you. We can help you with forms and information, IT support for community, reaching your local people of interest, or if you just need some space or a chat and cuppa.

Our Main Hall is around 10m x 14 m and is suitable for 150 people max with a seated capacity around 100 - 120.
It has a wooden floor and is a light and airy space fully equipped with tables and chairs as required.
It is directly adjacent to our community cafe, Daisys Cafe, who can supply refreshments, meals and buffets if required. There is kitchen space available when the cafe is closed, after 3pm weekdays and during weekends.
Access is via double door and ramp from our car park.

Our Community Room is a modern spacious room measuring around 9 m square and suitable for up to 70 people, with easy classroom accommodation for around 50 and plenty of space for smaller groups that need room to work.
This room is equipped with a hearing loop, a sound system and has a built in 105 inch projector screen with a ceiling mounted full HD projector that is available for hire if required.
There is a kitchen facility and access is on the ground floor with disabled facilities available.
There is a car park, free wifi and a garden for use of the guests.

Our Board Room is a meeting room around 7 metres square that is suitable for up to 30 people and comfortable for classrooms up to around 20 people.
It is fully equipped with tables and chairs, has an adjacent kitchen facility, free wifi, a car park and a garden for the use of our guests.
We can supply projectors, screens, laptops and speakers as required as well as support to ensure they are working as required to ensure your booking goes as planned.

Our New Room is a meeting space measuring around 6x9 metres and suitable for upto around 20 - 40 people, offering a comfortable classroom with plenty of light.
The room is on the front of the building, next to the car park, accesible via ramp. It comes fully equipped with tables and chairs and has a whiteboard/ screen. There is also free wifi and a garden space for the guests, and our community Cafe, Daisys is next door.
