St Margarets Church Hall description
Community Hall
Medium (1-150)
The spacious hall was built in 1956 to a high specification including stage lighting and dressing rooms. A substantial part of the original cost of £13,000 was met by a bequest from the Estate of Mrs F W Morris, who had laid the foundation stone of St Margaret’s Church on the 14th March 1928.
The hall was reopened in April 2006 after extensive refurbishment funded by a grant of £140,000 from the Welsh Assembly.
Further grants in 2007 and 2008 from WREN, AVOW, Wrexham County Borough Council and the Welsh Assembly have enabled the purchase of new curtains, banquet tables and chairs and the refurbishment of the kitchen. St Margaret's Church & Community Hall is situated on the northern side of Wrexham, about 1 mile from the major A483 link road which serves Shropshire & South Wales in one direction and North Wales & Chester in the other.
St Margaret's Hall is situated within the grounds of St Margaret's Church and there is a shared entrance drive off Chester Road. The large open car park has recently been rebuilt to the highest standard and full security lighting is installed around both the Church and the Hall.
A ramped and stepped covered entrance leads though to the forum with toilet facilities for Ladies (with baby changing), Gents and a fully fitted disabled toilet. All are fitted with electric hand driers and cleaning facilities.
