The Hafod Colliery Social Centre is situated in Broad Street in the heart of the village. It was built in 1966 with monies raised by miners at Hafod to provide them with a much needed venue where they could enjoy mutual leisure time in comfortable surroundings.
Since the demise of the colliery and other collieries, and despite the noticeable change in society's lifestyle and its priorities,46 years on and we are still providing a much needed and valuable service in the community.
The Rhos Male Voice Choir still meet here every Monday for practice at 7pm as they have done since our opening.
We do our utmost to help provide community facilities for the village, ie. Senior Citizens meetings and parties, Charitable Organisations concert evenings etc. amongst others.
The club provides rooms for leisure activities such
as Bingo, Quizz nights, Snooker etc.
The club stocks a wide range of Beers, Spirits and Wines at very reasonable prices.
