Shiskine Hall is located in the beautiful Shiskine Valley on the west coast of the Isle of Arran. Previously a church, it has been the village hall since 1958. It has a spacious main hall with a stage and capacity for over 100 to be seated at tables and a 150 for a seated performance type event. A lesser hall adjoins the recently refurbished kitchen where tables and chairs are stored. There is an good supply of crockery and a Lincat water heater in the kitchen with a cooker, fridge and microwave.
There is a shower in the disabled toilet as well as separate Ladies and Gents toilets. The hall has it's own car park. It is located about one mile from Blackwaterfoot with many amenities including the Kinloch Hotel, Blackwaterfoot Lodge, B&Bs, Shiskine Golf Club and tearoom and excellent shops including Blackwaterfoot Post Office and licenced grocery store, The Harbour Shop (newsagents) The Arran Butcher and Blackwater Bakehouse as well as Arran's biggest beach.
The Hall is well used by the community including Brownies and Rainbows, keep fit classes, yoga, WI and local fundraising and social events.
The hall is available for hire for private functions and events.
Hire rates for weddings are as follows:
Local (i.e Arran resident) £300 for a 48 hour period
Standard: £500 for a 48 hour period
