The Grand Hall forms part of the Palace Theatre and Grand Hall Complex, Ayrshire’s premier entertainment venue, and is situated in the heart of Kilmarnock.
Designed by Robert Ingram, son of James Ingram who designed the Palace Theatre, the Grand Hall originally housed the Kilmarnock Library and a Reading Room. The venue now offers a range of flexible spaces which are ideal for events including large scale concerts, job fairs, meetings/presentations, school proms and of course weddings.
Concerts
Having welcomed the likes of The View, Calvin Harris, Kevin Bridges and Billy Connolly to the stage over the years, the Grand Hall is a fantastic venue for a range of events and large scale music concerts.
Conference facilities and meeting rooms
The Grand Hall provides everything you could possibly need to make your conference or meeting a success and is situated in the heart of Kilmarnock, opposite the bus station with easy access to car parking or a 5 minute walk from the train station.
The main hall has a maximum capacity of 900 seated including 300 balcony seats making it a favourite with large scale conference organisers and promoters.
The Pillared Hall has a capacity of 250 and the pillars within the Hall add character and provide natural barriers for division into seminar sessions.
Art Hall 1 has a seating capacity of 150 and a stage (measuring 5 metres by 3 metres) to one end.
Art Hall 2 benefits from lovely natural light thanks to its impressive atrium style roof. It has a seating capacity of 150 and is suitable for a range of events and meetings.
Weddings
The Main Hall, Pillared Hall and Reception Room are all licensed for wedding ceremonies and the Main Hall makes for the perfect party atmosphere with a stage and plenty of room for dancing.
