Shipton is a small vibrant village just north of the City of York along the A19, close to the stately home of Beningbrough Hall.
The Community Centre offers a village focus for Pre-School & Toddlers in term-time and for a wide range of local social & sports groups. Having the advantage of a gymnasium sprung-wooden floor for its Main Hall, the Centre also provides Toilet, Kitchen & Meeting Room facilities.
Shipton itself has a range of dining & other social facilities, including a large country Pub-Restaurant The Dawnay Arms and the El Treno Greek-Italian Restaurant coupled with its unique Sidings Hotel created from historic railway carriages.
