The Town Hall is also a licensed wedding venue - a unique and historic setting in the heart of Rye. The Town Hall is a ceremony-only venue within walking distance, over the cobbled streets, to a number of local reception locations.
The Main Chamber can accommodate up to 46 people seated, or up to 75 people sitting, also using the ledges around the room. We also cater for smaller, more intimate ceremonies, with a setting around the marble fireplace with its tavern clock above, seating up to 20 people.

The Buttermarket is the open area at the entrance to the Town Hall.
This area was historically used as a cheese and dairy market, as the name suggests. It is now regularly used for community events and festivals. Often a venue for live music performances, it is also used for coffee mornings and plant sales.
This area is available to hire, subject to the type of event taking place.
