As Wales' first fully digital cinema the Scala represents a whole new experience for local cinema-goers. The two 150 seat screens feature state-of-the-art high definition digital projection systems offering a quality and flexibility to the cinema which is unrivaled in any other Welsh cinema.

The quality of the projection system is matched by the auditorium itself with specially sourced comfortable seating designed to make the viewing experience even more special
A digital cinema like the Scala can screen a normal DVD, a YouTube clip, games, live TV feeds, pretty much anything that audiences are used to in the modern information age.
The projection equipment was supplied by Future Projections Ltd and is a Barco DP1500 projector linked to a Kodak JMN-3000 server. Watch out for a range of new and exciting educational uses for the Scala’s digital systems.
