The Walter Roy Theatre at Hewett Academy is a fantastic facility. The Theatre is named after Dr Walter Roy CBE who served as the headteacher for Hewett Academy from 1970-1990; he was a keen supporter of music, sports and arts thus being named after the schools theatre.
With room for up to 300 people and a large stage it is perfect for performances and lectures. There is a projector and a full lighting and sound system that can be available if requested. The Theatre has a piano which can be hired. There are nearby toilets including disabled.

SPORTS HALL –
Brand New for the 2018/2019 term, this ultra-modern Sports Hall can host a wide variety of Indoor Sports and Activities. There are markings for a full court game of Basketball, a Netball court and multiple games of Badminton.
The Sports Hall is known to the School as the Eileen Ash Sports Hall. Eileen is the oldest living Test cricketer and she recently celebrated her 106th Birthday by taking a flight in a Tiger Moth. She is a true inspiration and a very worthy namesake of the Hall.
With Changing Rooms, Toilets and a Storage Cupboard attached and available for use, there couldn’t be a better place for Indoor Sport bookings at Hewett Academy. There is also exclusive car parking spaces available with Sports Hall use.

The Dance Studio at Hewett Academy can hold up to 50 people. With ballet barres and floor length mirrors on one wall it’s a great space for dance classes.
The Dance Studio is perfect for dance classes, rehearsals, fitness classes such as pilates and yoga and a space for small group workshops.
The Dance studio is often hired alongside the theatre as a break out space.

The West Dining Hall at Hewett Academy is a great room for hire. With plenty of tables and chairs it’s an ideal room for various bookings. The room has a stage, piano and badminton markings. The room can be hired to an arrangement to suit you; with or without the tables.
The West Dining hall is a really versatile room. Ideal for conferences, workshops, fitness sessions or sports classes.

The Hewett Academy has plenty of classrooms available for bookings. With tables and chairs for 30 people they are great spaces. They come with whiteboards and projectors which can be used upon request.
Classrooms are some of the best spaces to use for bookings. They work well as spaces for tuition, language schools, small meetings and spaces to branch off to from workshops and conferences.

The West Gym at Hewett Academy has a capacity of 100 people and has some sports markings and provisions. There is a whiteboard, crash mats, benches and access to changing rooms if requested. The room has a whiteboard which can be used for scoring and notes.
The Gym is a great facility for weekly sporting classes, sessions and training. It would also be good for fitness sessions and dance classes.

NETBALL COURTS
We have a number of outdoor netball courts which are available to hire with the official netball posts included.
TENNIS COURTS-
We are happy to be able to offer 10 Grass Tennis Courts available for booking. Having access to these courts is a big plus for the School, as there is high demand for Tennis Courts in the local area.
OUTDOOR FOOTBALL PITCHES-
At Hewett Academy there are two outdoor grass football pitches. With room for 300 people they are fantastic spaces for bookings. The pitches are unfortunately not floodlit but have access to changing rooms and nearby toilets.
The outdoor football pitches can be used for matches, friendly games, training sessions and leagues. The space is also perfect for outdoor events, fitness and sports classes.
