Visitors to the area can take scenic strolls along the riverfront and sit to admire the views beside the remains of the old Archbishop’s Palace wall.
Halling Community Centre is within walking distance of Halling Railway Station and bus stops.
It is home to Halling Parish Council, Bo-Peeps Nursery, Halling Youth Club, Halara and many other clubs and local groups meet here each week.
With two local pubs, convenience stores, a post office and two local churches make the Community Centre ideal for anyone wishing to hire the facilities for weddings, christenings, etc.
A small group of village committee members, as Trustees, manage the property for the use of the residents of Halling and visitors to the area. Their objective is to maintain and provide these facilities in a clean and safe environment and to encourage all residents to feel part of the wider community. Money raised from the hire of the main hall and smaller rooms are used to fund utilities, repairs and upkeep of the building and its grounds.
So from celebrations to gigs, badminton to bowls, lectures to public/business meetings, Halling Community Centre provides a wide range of facilities to meet the needs of the hirers.
