With excellent access to the Somerset coast, Exmoor National Park (a Dark Skies area) and The Quantocks (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), FSC Nettlecombe Court is perfectly positioned to make the most of the county’s spectacular countryside. The centre has extensive grounds suitable for outdoor games with a stream, woodlands, grasslands and a river a short walk away.

Accommodation is in the main house, sleeping 120 people. Rooms vary in size and all have access to recently refurbished bathroom facilities or en-suites. There are 23 bedrooms in total (18 dormitory rooms and 5 single or twin rooms). 11 of the 23 rooms are en-suite, and there are 4 others with designated bathrooms.

There is 1 accessible en-suite bedroom on the first floor, accessed from the rear of the building on a sloping gravel path. Electric wheelchairs often can’t gain access, though, due to their smaller wheels. The dining hall, downstairs classroom, common room and student pantry are all accessible, and there is a disabled toilet in the courtyard.

The dining room can seat 60-70 in one sitting. Self-catering is only offered to groups that hire out the whole centre. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay as it is used regularly to cater for a wide range of groups and sizes.

There is an adult lounge with a wood-burning fire, TV and comfortable sofas and a separate Common room with a range of recreational activities, including a pool table, arcade games, table football and TV.

A suitable conference space is in the dining room, which can be utilised as both a dining room and/or conference space for 60-70 people. There are a further 5 class/workrooms seating 14-40 people.

There is a licensed bar and shop stocked with local ales and spirits, wines, soft drinks and snacks/souvenirs. These are not available to self-catering groups unless special arrangements are made prior to the visit.

It is possible to book activities for adults and children (subject to availability), these are chargeable and must be booked in advance.

Williton is 2.5 miles away and is the closest town.
