Proudly independent of any large chains, we have been hosting Wedding Receptions and Parties in our variety of rooms for over 40 years, giving us the experience to take the stress out of your special day, coupled with a warm and friendly atmosphere that will leave you and your guests feeling truly at home.
we are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and Partnership ceremonies for up to 160 guests, either as part of a reception package or just for a ceremony on its own, we can host civil ceremonies on any day of the week, so if you prefer a quiet historic setting with a little more time than the registry office but don’t want to book us for the whole day thats fine too


Steeped in history, The Old Rectory at Handsworth in Sheffield is one of South Yorkshire’s more unique Wedding Venues. A short drive from the city centre and only minutes from the M1 motorway, the venue is easily accessed from the major transport links yet tucked away in its own private grounds
From the moment you pass under the stone arch of the old coach house, to the front of the fine old Georgian Rectory, which looks out across its own lawn and garden, you will know you have found your perfect wedding venue.
Greet your guests down the red carpet, through the French windows into the fine Georgian Bramley lounge with its fabulous fire place. Mingle with your guests over a glass of Bucks fizz or Pimms in the large Ballifield Drawing room, bathed in light from the high shuttered windows. Before finally sitting down to eat in the spacious Main Hall, that later on becomes the perfect place for a disco, or band alongside our excellently stocked bar.
