Haile Village Hall description
Village Hall
Medium (1-150)
In 1879 the community of Haile, on the west coast of Cumberland decided that they needed a new school and work commenced in the same year. The school opened in the following year and was to serve the villages of Haile and Wilton for the next 75 years, finally closing in 1955.
For the next 20 years the building was used as the church hall but in 1975 the church transferred the building under a trust deed for the use as a village hall for the parish.
In 1979 the village hall became a registered charity.
