Described as one of the architectural jewels of Oxford, this unique and historic venue can be hired for concerts, lectures, drinks receptions, day meetings, awards ceremonies and much more. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and completed in 1669 the Sheldonian is the ceremonial Hall of the University of Oxford.

Sir Christopher Wren designed the Main Theatre to impress and with its gilded thrones, proctors boxes and original painted canvas ceiling it certainly does that.

This stunning venue can be hired for a variety of functions. For smaller talks and drinks receptions with the unique shape of the building provides a welcoming and intimate feel; the great acoustics and large seating capacity make it an ideal setting for concerts. The space is also perfect for large lectures and opening/closing sessions for conferences.
