The 'National Speedway Stadium' was born out of plans to transform East Manchester into a Mecca for the sporting community.
BVA and Manchester City Council hope that the new proposed facilities will
act as a springboard to attract new developments to the area.
The new home of the 'National Speedway Stadium' will be located within Belle Vue Sports Village on Kirkmanshulme Lane in Gorton. The ‘state of
the art’ world class speedway track will incorporate a multipurpose astroturf pitch suitable for a multitude of sports such as; Hockey,
Junior Football and Lacrosse.
The stadium has a Main Grandstand with all the modern facilities and will accommodate approximately 2,500 seated spectators, complete with hospitality and Executive areas. Fixed terraced viewing will also be available around the track for a further 3,500 spectators, increasing
to anywhere between 12,000 to 18,000 spectators in temporary
stand seating for major events such as the Speedway World Cup.
