The Royal Hotel Stornoway is situated just a few steps from the town centre, directly opposite the yacht marina. It’s within a minute or two’s drive of (and reasonable walking distance from) the Western Isles Hospital, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and many other businesses. The two-star Royal Hotel is equally enjoyable for holiday visitors to the Outer Hebrides, many of whom delight in the views over the marina to the castle and its surrounding parkland.

The hotel has 24 renovated bedrooms, all with bath and/or shower, free wi-fi and room service during lunch and dinner periods. Dining is a special pleasure in the traditional and informal Boatshed restaurant. Here our head chef is well known (and much appreciated) for his artistic creation of contemporary dishes that make the most of local Scottish produce. For even more casual dining – or for a coffee, a drink or just a quick snack, our HS-1 Cafe Bar is a favourite with local residents as well as many of our hotel guests.
