WHO ARE WE?
The Maryhill Burgh Halls are a community led organisation, set up by the Maryhill Burgh Halls Trust. The Trust was established in 2004 by a group of local people, after demolition plans for the building had been proposed. The Regeneration Project dramatically re-imagined the Halls, and has put the Halls back into the heart of Maryhill community with a re-opening in 2012.

The reborn Halls complex now feature a temporary exhibition space which will one day be home to the Maryhill Museum. This to display the local heritage and history of the area, as well as a cafe, a host of tenants, and spaces that are regularly booked out to use for dance recitals, weddings, parties and conferences. Our tenants vary from the Venice of North recording studio to George Buchanan Architects, and can all be found here.

The Burgh Halls provide many different activities, and serves as a community centre. Besides tours of the building, we provide free walking tours around Maryhill to learn more about the heritage of the area. We are developing a school programme with varied focus on heritage and nature, and are home to Maryhill Heritage Choir, which welcomes both young and old, no matter the level of experience.Historic venue that can be hired for private functions as well as commercial projects. The Maryhill Burgh Halls is run by the community-run trust, and has previously been used for weddings, choir recitals, filming, and book signings.

Our Main Hall is the centrepiece of the building - with elements dating back to 1878, the Hall is a light, airy space with a modern finish. It can be set up in a number of flexible configurations, including conference, theatre, and dinner style.

The hall is ideal for weddings, conferences, dinners, training seminars, workshops, theatre performances or dance classes. The Hall can be hired separately or together with the Garden Room spaces, which can make an excellent break out space for a conference, or bar/servery space for a reception.

Our Garden Room space adjoins the Main Hall, and can be used either with the Hall as a breakout space or servery area, or separately as a medium-sized meeting or conference space. This space also gives access to our outdoor courtyard area.

Accessed through the Garden Room, our private outdoor courtyard is a great space to take a breath of fresh air during a meeting, or even to have your event outside when there's good weather! The lighting looks dramatic at night as well.
