Welcome to the website for the historic steamship Maid of the Loch, Loch Lomond's Paddle Steamer. Visit her on the world famous Bonnie, Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond, at Balloch Pier.
Maid of the Loch is open to the public as a family-friendly historic visitor attraction and as a totally unique venue for events and functions. Recently undergone a £1.1 million pound project we now have two updated and beautiful event rooms to offer for hire and after 39 years our engines are now In Steam, although she will still be static a static attraction it' makes a great day out!
The restored Grade A listed Balloch Steam Slipway is capable of pulling the 555 gross ton Maid of the Loch out of the loch. Regular "In Steam" days allow the steam engine and gearing system to be seen in operation.
The Maid and Balloch Steam Slipway are loving cared for by the Loch Lomond Steamship Company, a charity based in Scotland. All staff are unpaid volunteers.

Our largest event room with wonderful view of the Loch. Recently refurbished, this room is now fully insulated and heated. It has access to it's own private bar and separate exit/entrance. There is also a lift from the main deck to this room.
