The Glazert Country House Hotel is a family run Hotel and Wedding Venue which has been under the same ownership since 1989.
The hotel has changed owners several times over the years, but now lies successfully in the hands of The McConnell Family. Although the hotel and original house have been extensively refurbished, many of the original features remain and can be seen today. Original staircase and fireplaces give the house character, as do the recurring arches throughout the building. The bar area would previously have been stables for horses where riding lessons took place in past years, but is now a relaxing and friendly spot in which to unwind with a drink and home cooked meal.

Retired Head Chef and Manageress, Henry and Celia McConnell have kept the day to day running of the hotel in the family, by passing the responsibility onto sibling team Paul and Debbie McConnell. Paul and Debbie both manage front of house operations and have many years of experience working in the hospitality sector. These days they have the help of Assistant Managers Claire and Ross.

Nowadays it is Head Chef David Gillespie who sees to the smooth running behind the scenes in the kitchen. Alongside Sous Chefs Lyndsay and Andrew they, and their team, aim to maintain the highest standard of food. All dishes are prepared to order using the freshest of local ingredients. Fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables are delivered to our kitchen daily, our menu changes with the seasons to ensure ingredients are used when they are at their best.
There are numerous dining options here the Glazert Country Hotel. These range from our relaxed and cozy lounge bar to our slightly more formal Mitchels Restaurant. The hotel also boasts numerous private function suites for those more special occasions. With over 25 years experience you can sit back, relax and enjoy your day without worries.
