Carmelite House Hotel description
Hotel / Conference Centre
Medium (1-150)
Carmelite House Hotel Banff Scotland is a small, friendly, family run business located in the centre of Banff on the Moray Firth Coast. Banff is separated from the neighbouring town of Macduff by the mouth of the River Deveron and Carmelite House is the ideal base for visitors to explore this hidden corner of Aberdeenshire. The many local activities include golf, salmon and trout fishing, walking, cycling, sailing, dolphin and other wildlife watching, the Malt Whisky trail, Castle trail, Coastal trail and much more.
The Hotel in Banff Scotland is an impressive Georgian B Listed building built in 1753 for Admiral William Gordon (circa 1709-1768). It took its name from the former monastery which once stood nearby. The building has been carefully and sympathetically modernized and is now a comfortable small hotel and has been owned and managed by Fiona and John Calder since 1994. It has nine comfortable bedrooms – seven with en suite facilities – single, twin, double and family rooms are available.
The Hotel has private off-road parking facilities and free wireless internet access for the use of our guests.
