The Downshire Hotel is the oldest Hostelry in Portpatrick dating back to c1800. Originally used as a Coaching Inn it has been frequented over the years by many a weary traveler seeking Rest, Good Food, a Tipple and Entertainment.....Some 200 years on and nothing has changed.
Seeking Rest…Our comfortable rooms offer tea & coffee facilities, television and free Wi-Fi. We offer Double & Twin rooms with Sea Views as well as adjoining Family rooms…. see our ‘Virtual Tours’
Good Food… Our Restaurant offers a choice of Lite Bite, Early Bird and Evening Menus. Our more traditional ‘Pub Grub’ menu is available in the bar.
We will be happy to accommodate any specific dietary needs with prior notice.
A Tipple… ‘The Downshire’ Bar as it’s known to the ‘Locals’ opens 11am daily (12am on Sundays) until late….offering ‘Probably the Best Pint in the Village’
And Entertainment….Catch up on the latest Sports and all the Big Games on our recently installed TV plasma surround system with Live Music at week-ends.
