Resting 30 yards above the River Awe, Tighandaraich is a small collection of private Luxury lodges on the banks of the beautiful River Awe and looking over the breathtaking Ben Cruachan. Perfectly situated for that relaxing break, to catch up on those unread books, cast some flies on the Awe or golf nearby. An ideal base for touring. There is an abundance of wildlife including golden eagles and buzzards, which are often seen, or you can spend a day on the seas dolphin spotting.
Nearby Cruachan Hollow Mountain lies deep within Ben Cruachan and is one of the country’s most amazing engineering achievements, an underground world on a spectacular scale. Bonawe Iron Furnace at Taynuilt is the most complete charcoal fired ironworks in Britain, or take a step back in time and visit Inveraray Jail, a living museum. Fort William, Glencoe and Lochgilphead are also easily reached. There is also a shop and pub within walking distance.
