Stephen and Jane Atha acquired the Dalesgate Hotel in 1994. It was a career aspiration after both had met at catering college, and progressed to train in every area of hotel management. This hard school of small groups and large hotel chains has honed their skills and enterprise, enabling them to build their business through all the challenges the hospitality sector presents.
