Aagrah Group Of Restaurants – Creating History For Three Decades
Mohammed Sabir opened his first restaurant in Shipley in 1977 with the aim of presenting authentic Kashmiri cuisine of the highest order to the people of Shipley and Bradford. Aagrah has since expanded and created a niche amongst those appreciative of good authentic Asian food served in opulent surroundings.

This family run restaurant group has prospered and grown over the last 30 years in response to the local and regional community acknowledging the standards set by Aagrah. The special qualities created in Shipley have since been recreated successfully with branches of the Aagrah restaurant now throughout the Yorkshire region.
With family members personally managing each restaurant they follow an ethos to offer authentic dishes, as prepared in the Kashmiri homeland with the highest possible standard of food service. These personal touches and passion has brought the group national and international recognition over the years.
Innovation is another key to Aagrah’s success with new dishes being constantly introduced on the menus. The company is only too happy to share the secrets of the Aagrah chef with its customers with many of the famous favourite recipes found in company recipe books which are available for sale.
Growing success in 2001 enabled the company to invest in the development of a purpose-built CPU (Central Production Unit) in Shipley. This enables the group to cater with ease to small and large scale outdoor catering events throughout the UK.

Moving onwards and in the continued direction of success that the chain has achieved since it began there are extensive plans to expand and progress the company including the opening of a huge banqueting suite in Pudsey to cater for private functions. Aagrah aims to continue developing in the future and providing the customer with a memorable dining experience with menu prices always at an economic andacceptable level for valued customers. They will also continue success and growth on the premise that they continue to “Provide a variety of fresh, healthy and nutritious dishes at affordable prices in truly comfortable and relaxing surroundings, always to the total satisfaction of all valued customers”.
